For energy service providers
Add your customers’ Austrian electricity and gas readings to the service you run. Historical and ongoing data reach your system over the API or as files; the customer relationship stays with you.

Your system
The readings become an input to your customer service.
Delivery by REST API, webhook, MQTT, SFTP or CSV by email.
Your customers need no account of their own. You register their metering points, they approve once at their grid operator, and the readings start flowing into your service.
A customer base you already serve comes in from one CSV file or through the API, grouped by customer and site. Your team sees which connections are active and which approvals are outstanding, in the app or through the API.
By API, CSV import or in the app, with the customer’s 33-digit metering-point number.
In their grid operator’s portal, the request appears as “energiedaten.at - your company”, or with a text of your own from the Plus plan.
The approval is confirmed within seconds to hours; the first readings follow within one to five working days. From then on, each day’s readings arrive the following day.
You hold the contract with energiedaten.at and pay for a plan with a number of included meters plus a monthly amount for each additional meter. Your customers approve data sharing at their grid operator and pay nothing to us.
On the shared plans, the consents run through our EDA endpoint. If they should be registered to your own company, the BYO plans connect your own endpoint.
Readings reach your system by webhook, MQTT or SFTP, through the REST API, or as CSV or XLSX files by email. Every value carries its metering point, timestamp and quality mark.
Grid operators may correct a value for up to about 60 days after the measured day. Corrections arrive through the same channel, and the API’s sync cursor returns every revised reading, so your service bills and reports on the final values.

Scheduled exports supply readings by meter, site or customer after each closed week, month or quarter, for recurring consumption analyses and customer reports.
Your team can inspect data coverage and quality for each period in energiedaten.at. Measured values, estimates and gaps remain distinguishable, and missing days are requested again from the grid operator.
FAQ
Yes, if it accepts a webhook, MQTT or SFTP delivery, pulls from the REST API or imports CSV or XLSX files. Tell us which system you use and what data it needs, and we check the import with your team.
Coverage and quality information help your team identify missing or estimated readings. Grid operators can supply readings later or correct earlier values for up to about 60 days; corrections arrive through the same channel as the original readings. Agree how your receiving system updates its stored values and what your service shows customers in the meantime.
Yes. The BYO plans connect your own EDA endpoint, so consents are registered to your company. Consents are bound to the endpoint they were granted for: moving metering points from our shared endpoint to yours means each customer confirms again in the grid operator’s portal.
When a metering point is connected, you can request its past readings from the grid operator, up to one, two or three years back depending on plan. Older periods may arrive at daily resolution.
Each plan includes a number of meters and a monthly amount for every additional one; there is no upper limit. Customers and sites organise the portfolio at any size.
Yes, where those directions are metered and the data is available. Grid readings complement inverter information. Feed-in is not total PV generation, and electricity used on site needs additional data when you calculate a complete energy balance.
