Your first connection request is submitted in 5 minutes. This guide walks you through the key steps.

Want to test your integration first? Add a test meter from the Light plan up — no real Zählpunkt number or consent process required.

The first steps

1. Register

Create an account on energiedaten.at. You'll need a valid email address.

2. Create a team

On your first login, you'll be prompted to create a team. The team is your workspace — where you manage meters, users, and settings.

3. Choose a plan

In the same form, select the plan that fits your needs. You can upgrade at any time. The Community plan is permanently free.

4. Connect your first meter

Click "Connect Smart Meter" and enter your Zählpunkt number — the 33-character code that starts with "AT". You'll find it on your electricity bill. Detailed instructions: Connect a meter.

5. Confirm consent

After submitting the request, you need to confirm the release in your grid operator's online portal. You have 30 business days to do this. How it works: The Consent Process.

6. Receive your first data

Energy data arrives with a one-day delay (T-1). You'll see the first readings within hours to days after successful consent. What to expect next: First Data & Next Steps.
